ABOUT THE PTAAT PROGRAMME

Collective Consulting Limited specializes in practical accountancy and IT workshops for those in accountancy and finance.

As proponents of this vocational training, we have carefully designed and structured our workshops to simulate the work environment and to give participants the necessary practical skills to enable them to understand and prepare accounts from source document to the Balance sheet.

Who needs this unique practical training?

The workshops are designed for:
(a)       Those that have no practical experience
(b)      Those who although are working but have never prepared accounts by themselves from   actual source documents to the balance sheet (invoices, petty cash vouchers, cheque stubs etc) up to the balance sheet.

We have partnered with Chukwudi Okeh & Co to add other skills to the training being offered.

Accountancy is a skill to be acquired and not a subject to be read. Just as you do not learn to drive by reading the Highway Code alone, you cannot acquire accountancy skills by reading a textbook. This is why our professional bodies ensure that those who qualify by examinations acquire the relevant practical skills before gaining membership.

Unfortunately, there are no shortcuts to acquiring experience. Everybody must go through the apprenticeship route. However, you can gain more experience in a controlled environment than in the open world. We, in conjunction with Collective Consulting has developed an accountancy laboratory where you can gain your practical experience quickly, cheaply and of the highest quality.
